Change Date and Time – Unable to Continue

If you are getting an permissions error message while changing date time on windows server, there is a way around to it.

Before performing the steps below, ensure that the user has access to administrator account.

Step 1

Go to the following path on windows.

C:\Windows\System32

Step 2

Search for a file called timedate.cpl.

Step 3

Right Click on the file timedate.cpl and run it as an administrator.

Step 4

Click Yes in the User Account Control popup.

Step 5

In the next window, Click on Change time zone.

Step 6

You should be able to change time zone Settings in the next window.
